Another Rough-It-Out BBQ Gathering

BBQ on the floor, some pavillion at Kallang River, with a camouflaged by darkness track, n wet puddles in the grass.

Ya I being the blind bat, stepped into the wet puddles of grass patch.

OH YA. B4 dat, I mistook a Courts worker for a Carrefour worker. Sibeh malu. Super blur for like most part of saturday.

The pavillion wasnt well lit, n my pics mostly came out in darkness since I dun wanna kana whacked for keep flashing them, so there aint really a lot of photos lah.


This is a smart innovation by Serene who keep saying only bo liao ppl think of these stupid ideas.

We're even more stupid for holding on to the lamp while shining it at the BBQ tray lor.


Somehow we had 2 coconuts. Those fresh from the tree kind of coconuts. N we had no knives, or rather, a knife big enuff to open the coconut. So how?

All our exchange presents. Each person has to prepare 2. So everyone goes home with 2 presents instead of 1.

This is not from exchange. I got it at More Than Words for around $10. Its a SPEAKER! Bloody cute. N the sound is LOUDER than the old-4-AA battery-consumption-Sony-which-costs-$50. This uses only 3 AAA batts.

Located at the ulu area in the middle of Maju camp and SIM, with exterior that looks like a run-down farm / deserted temple.

Went with Birdy after her mugging at SIM. Well, we wasnt hungry. More of a try-it-out kind of impulse.

Good impulse. It was GREAT! $12 for 10 parcels. A bit on the high side, but rather fantastic & value for money.

Ambience-wise, I feel like I'm in some Malaysia kampung the moment I stepped thru the gates. The "restaurant" was jus a rised area with fans n flourescent lights swarmed by flying ants.

Need some exploration spirit to go there since its so freaking out of place/un-noticable.

Due to a last min cancellation by someone, I dashed to Alexander Hospital yesterday for my dental appt with my mum in toll, who pestered to come along when I was fetching my referral letter from home.

Alexander Hospital is freaking big actually, misleading ppl with its solo building seen from the outside. There's actually a myriad of corridors n buildings within.

Well, I cant even remember being pushed/carried along the old corridors 24 yrs ago. Neither can my mum.

The dental centre, I think it sucks. Its full of young punks! I feel like a guinea pig!

N the dentist. ARGH! I tell her exactly where the pain is, what is causing it, etc etc, she continued KNOCKING on the pain part, and the other side. N took 2 xrays when I already had an xray for her.

Feels like trapping me to the bed and extorting my money.

So with the 2 xrays, I found out..

I have NOT ONE BUT TWO LAZY WISDOM TEETH! N the other root canal has minor infection!

Yeah, n nothing were done to them.

N there's a decaying front tooth (there for very long already), which she insisted I must do it now.

I'm like.. I'll fix it after the root canal (molar).
No no, root canal too late already. Must do it NOW!
Yah, fix my NERVES 1st!
No No, u go fix that front tooth 1st!

Har? Right.

Anyway she was meaning, to fix that front tooth ASAP b4 it hits the nerves (of the front tooth) n requires RCT (for the front tooth).

I know I need to fix that front tooth oso, but that dentist over at Clementi ask me to do my nerves 1st mah..

Argue until my nerves popping out.

Then she went on the LENGTHY procedure of explaining the RCT, which I already understood, n she knew I did RCT b4. She's virtually jumping at my nerves at that point of time.

Hai Hai, yes yes, just do it!!

Then she finally began the injection & operation. Oww.

*I'm having occasional throbbing of nerves at the ears. Yes. EARS! Wah raoz..

Weak Teeth

This.. is my teeth. Ok xray of my teeth. See the horizontal one on the left. THAT is my wisdom tooth.

Thus the reason for my frequently changing msn nicks.

The dentist said I have 2 problems. 1) the horizontal wisdom tooth; 2) the bad filling with the exposed nerves (was done this yr). N I have weak teeth, which I presume is hereditary since my mum was "showing off" her experience of getting her teeth extracted. No wonder!

The biggest problem is.. I CANT fix the nerve without removing the sleeping wisdom tooth. N the nerve is sending shockwaves to my head! I'm getting HEADACHES!!

So I got a referral letter to AH. Have to make a call tmr to book appt, n inform my boss that I might be going on long mc, n dat asst is not capable of handling 1.5m worth of duties so how..

So how..

Jus hope i dun die of the pain 1st.

Shouldnt it be due to the festive mood of xmas instead of for competition?

This yr's xmas decoration doesnt give me any festive spirit. It looks so golden, makes me wonder if those decorations are left over from Hari Raya or Deepavali then keep recycling.
